Uncategorized Historic Interest Rates What interest rate did you have when you bought your house?  The highest interest rate was October 1981 at 18.45%.  The lowest interest rate is October 2012 at 3.36%  I purchased my first home in 1980 at 12% interest.  I thought I had a great rate!
